Weekly Message - May 19-23
We hope you’re enjoying the fresh burst of spring; the rain this week is really helping our plants—we’re finally seeing leaves on the trees and flowers starting to bloom around the community! As we head into the long weekend, a reminder that there will be no school on Monday, May 19 for Victoria Day.
A big congratulations to all our badminton teams for a great season! It was wonderful to see so many students on all four teams giving their best effort and showing strong sportsmanship.
Wishing everyone a restful long weekend and a strong finish to the month of May!
Open House Evening
We are hosting an open house on Wednesday, May 28, starting at 6:00 pm. The focus of the open house is to welcome our future students who are currently in grade five. We also want to extend a welcome to any other new students joining us for the 2025-26 school year.
We are unable to offer grade five tours this year because of space constraints so we are encouraging all future students to attend this evening event.
Save the Date – Spring Music Concert
Our Spring Concert will be held on Wednesday, June 4th at Captain Nichola Goddard. Weather permitting, we plan to hold our concert outside behind the school, with performances located on the compound! Although we will have chairs available for the audience. Please feel free to bring your own picnic blankets and outdoor chairs for our festival of sound! We will be featuring our Jr. Band, Sr. Band, Jazz Band, and Strings Club, with a special farewell performance by our grade 9 students. Performers are required to arrive by 5:45pm and the show will start at 6:30pm!
Track and Field Team
Student athletes should have received their event paperwork last week. The expectation is that each athlete attends at least one practice per event each week. They’re also welcome to split their practice time between events if needed. On their practice day, students should meet in the main gym right after school before heading to their training location with their coaches. Practices will run until about 4:30pm.
