Weekly Message - June 22-26

This is the last weekly update of the 2025-26 school year, and it feels like the final week has come all too quickly! This is a full week with a 12:10pm dismissal on Friday, June 26. Appeals day will be held on Monday, June 29.

As we wrap up another school year, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the many successes we've shared as a school community. From academic growth to athletic achievements, student leadership to classroom creativity, this has been a year of learning, connection, and progress. While we pause to celebrate all that 2025-26 has brought, we are also looking ahead. You'll find important information in this message and on our website about what to expect as we begin the 2026-27 school year.

Grade 9 Farewell

We are hosting our grade 9 farewell this Wednesday, June 24. Doors will be open at 6:00pm for families to find seats in the gymnasium. The forecast for June 24 is warm, and our gymnasium isn't air conditioned. We recommend dressing in light, breathable clothing to stay comfortable.

Students should arrive at 6:00pm for instructions, photos, and procession organization. The ceremony will run from 6:30-7:30pm followed by snacks and other activities for the students ending at 9:00pm.

Back to School Info & Key Dates for the Next School Year

The first day of school for students is Monday, August 31. All students begin classes at 8:05am and homeroom teachers will email families with a welcome message by Friday, Aug. 28.

Depending on weather, homeroom teachers will meet students in the school field or if the weather is poor we will meet inside the school. If we are meeting indoors, the locations for each grade will be posted around the school.

Note that the first week of classes is a full five-day week followed by the Labour Day long weekend, this is different than most school years.

For all key dates visit our school calendar and check the Back To School page during the summer for key updates.

Students with books still outstanding will be invoiced for the replacement cost this week, and the fee will be posted to their PowerSchool account. Students can see Ms. L with any questions or concerns about their books.
