Weekly Message - November 18-22
We have a very busy week ahead with School Council on Wednesday, grade six immunizations scheduled over two days (Tuesday & Wednesday), and basketball quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals throughout the week. This is all in addition to the regular routine of classes, fun lunches and everything else that goes on in a busy middle school.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent teacher conferences will be held on November 28 & 29. There is a full day of classes on Thursday with dismissal at 2:45pm. There are no classes for students on Friday, November 29.
Thursday evening conferences are in-person and will begin at 4:00pm and end at 8:00pm. The Friday conferences are online from 8:00am until 2:00pm
The booking system will be accessible at 8:00am this Friday, November 22 to schedule your appointment through MyCBE.
Scholastic Book Fair – November 28th–December 5th
Our Scholastic Book Fair is a book sale event that brings the most current and popular books into our school! There will be a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reader, as well as some great gift-giving ideas! This is also an important fundraising event to bring new resources into our School! Please stop by our Book Fair during Parent/Teacher interviews.

School Council Meeting
Our School Council is meeting on Wednesday, November 20 in the Learning Commons at 6:30pm. Please join us if you can.
John G. Diefenbaker High School IB Program Open House
Who should attend? Any grade 9 students and parents interested in finding out more about the IB program.
During these IB information sessions, staff will talk about what the IB program is, what to expect and what you need to know about applying. You will have a chance to ask questions and meet with some of our current students.
There are two dates for the presentation: November 18 (6:00-7:30pm) and again during the Diefenbaker Open House on January 16.
The sessions will be held in the Learning Commons at John G Diefenbaker High School. No registration is required.
A presentation from the IB Coordinator will begin at 6:30pm.
