School Council sponsored Staff Appreciation
On Friday, December 13, the CNGS Council and Parents Association are hosting a staff luncheon to celebrate and show gratitude to the staff at the school. We are seeking parent contributions of dessert dishes.

Tournament of Champions
The CNG senior boys’ basketball team was asked to play in the city championship of the eight best teams in Calgary. Our team made it all the way to the semi-final round where they lost a close game to Bishop Pinkham School. It was a huge honour to be included in this event and we are so proud of the performance of this team and how amazingly they’ve represented our school this fall.
Activity Day Windup
Activity Day was a terrific success this year. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped with so many trips. We’re grateful to our students for being awesome community members out there on all their trips and in different facilities. Thank you to all the families for getting their students organized and prepared for the day!
Scholastic Thank You!
Thank you to all students and parents who supported our Scholastic Book Fair! It was a great success, with so much excitement shown from our students! Our school will receive back $1700 in free Scholastic rewards to be used for future resources for our school!! Wahoo!!!
Reminder – Winter Break dates
Winter break is quickly approaching. The last day of classes for students is Friday, Dec. 20. Classes will dismiss at the regular Friday dismissal time of 12:10pm on that date and resume at 8:05am on Monday, January 6, 2025.
Report Cards
This year, report cards will be accessible electronically on January 30. All families will be able to access their child’s report card through a tab titled Report Card in MyCBE at the end of the first term. Report cards for the 2024-25 school year may be viewed, downloaded and/or printed.
Parents and Guardians can sign in to MyCBE to view student information, including report cards, comments from your child’s teacher, assignments and grades, and attendance information.
