Weekly Message - November 25-29

Wow! November is almost over and the weather certainly changed to remind us that winter is here! Hopefully, everyone is staying safe and warm with the recent change of seasons.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent teacher conferences will be held next week on November 28 & 29. There is a full day of classes on Thursday with dismissal at 2:45pm. There are no classes for students on Friday, November 29. The Thursday evening conferences are in-person, and the Friday conferences are online.

Conferences will begin at 4:00pm and end at 8:00pm on Thursday evening then resume at 8:00am on Friday and end at 2:00pm. Each conference will be 10 minutes in length; should your meeting require more than ten minutes you are welcome to continue the conversation on a different date in person or by telephone.

Important - Thursday evening conferences are IN PERSON ONLY and Friday daytime conferences are ONLINE ONLY.  Also, conferences with the Phys Ed team, Art, Construction and Band Teachers can also be held.  The booking system opened at 8am on Friday, November 22 and is accessible through MyCBE.

Scholastic Book Fair – November 28–December 5

Our Scholastic Book Fair is a book sale event that brings the most current and popular books into our school! There will be a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reader, as well as some great gift-giving ideas! This is also an important fundraising event to bring new resources into our School! Please stop by our Book Fair during Parent/Teacher interviews.

Thank you for your support - we look forward to seeing you at our Book Fair!

Annual Winter Activity Day

Teachers are creating info sheets for each trip. Over the next couple weeks, students will need to check out the information board outside the main gym to make sure they have all the information they need to be prepared for their trip. This board will be ready for Parent-Teacher conferences so please check it out in the main hallway between the main and auxiliary gymnasium.

We need your help! These trips take lots of supervision, so please have your child come pick up a volunteer form if you’d like to come along. Not sure if you’re a cleared volunteer at CNG? Call the main office and they can help you!

Basketball Season Finals

We are wishing our Sr Boys basketball team good luck as they play Friday night in the championship game at Robert Thirsk High School. Congratulations to our Jr Girls basketball team and the Jr Boys basketball team who both advance to their division finals on Monday at William D. Pratt School.
