Activity Day is Here! 

Activity day is coming this Tuesday, Dec. 12. Teachers have communicated the necessary information for each activity and students should know what to bring for their chosen activity. At this point, the forecast looks pretty good with an expected high of –5 degrees. Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather even if their activity is indoors. Transportation issues can sometimes result in delays, and we want everyone to be as comfortable as possible. 

School Council Sponsored Staff Appreciation 

On Friday, December 15th, the CNGS Council and Parents Association are hosting a staff luncheon to celebrate and show gratitude to the staff at the school. We are seeking parent contributions of dessert dishes.

Reminder – Winter Break dates 

Winter break is quickly approaching. The last day of classes for students is Friday, Dec. 22. Classes will dismiss at the regular time of 12:10pm on that date and resume at 8:05am on Monday, January 8, 2024. 

Parent Teacher Conferences 

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the first round of conferences on December 7 & 8. The second round of conferences will be held on four consecutive Friday afternoons in February and March. All the interviews will be online between the hours of 1:00-3:30pm on Friday, February 23, March 1, 8 & 15. The booking system will open just before the Teachers’ Convention in mid-February. 

Scholastic Book Fair 

Thank you to all who attended our Scholastic Book Fair during Parent/Teacher Conferences!  It was a huge success – it’s fabulous to see the love of reading shared among families!   We are not done yet!  Students who didn’t attend in-person Conferences still have a chance to purchase items during their selected in-class shopping time on Dec. 11 or 13, or during “last call” sales at the end of the day on Wednesday.  Thanks again for your support! 

Report Cards 

This year, report cards will be accessible electronically on January 30. All families will be able to access their child’s report card through a tab titled Report Card in MyCBE at the end of the first term.  

Heathy Hunger Fun Lunch – Tuesdays & Wednesdays 

Fun LUNCH dates have been added to Healthy HUNGER for the New Year (until Spring Break).
