Weekly Message - Nov 20-24 | Activity Day, Parent Teacher Conferences, Scholastic Book Fair
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Remembrance Day assemblies last Wednesday. The event was very touching, and our students were outstanding in both their conduct during the assemblies and in the beautiful words, performances and character that they shared with everyone. A big thank you to the school staff who contributed their time and talents toward creating such a meaningful day.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent teacher conferences will be held on December 7 & 8. There is a full day of classes on Thursday with dismissal at 2:45pm. There are no classes for students on Friday, December 8. The Thursday evening conferences are in-person and the Friday conferences are online.
Conferences will begin at 4:00pm and end at 8:00pm on Thursday evening then resume at 8:00am on Friday and end at 2:00pm. Each conference will be 10 minutes in length; should your meeting require more than ten minutes you are welcome to continue the conversation on a different date in person or by telephone. The system will be accessible through MyCBE. Please visit the school website for detailed information on booking conferences.
Scholastic Book Fair – December 5 - 13
Our Scholastic Book Fair is a book sale event that brings the most current and popular books right into our school! There will be a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reader, as well as some great gift-giving ideas! This is also an important fundraising event to bring new resources into our School! Please stop by our Book Fair during Parent/Teacher interviews.
Thank you for your support - we look forward to seeing you at our Book Fair!
Parent Council Information
Parent council is meeting on Tuesday, November 21 in our Learning Commons at 6:30pm. Please join us if you can.
Annual Winter Activity Day
We are excited to be offering our winter activity again this year on Dec 12. We have 11 locations in and around Calgary for our students to choose from. We strongly encourage students to use this opportunity to select an activity that is new to try. For students not interested in any of the off-site trips offered, we have also added a day of activity hosted at the school that provides fitness and a variety of outdoor snow games on the field.
This day takes many volunteers. If you are willing to be a volunteer for our trips, please make sure your paperwork is current for this school year in the office. If you are unsure if yours is current, please stop in or call the office to find out.
