Parent Teacher Conferences 

Parent teacher conferences will be held next week on December 7 & 8. There is a full day of classes on Thursday with dismissal at 2:45pm. There are no classes for students on Friday, December 8. The Thursday evening conferences are in-person, and the Friday conferences are online. 

Conferences will begin at 4:00pm and end at 8:00pm on Thursday evening then resume at 8:00am on Friday and end at 2:00pm. Each conference will be 10 minutes in length; should your meeting require more than ten minutes you are welcome to continue the conversation on a different date in person or by telephone.  

Important - Thursday evening conferences are IN PERSON ONLY and Friday daytime conferences are ONLINE ONLY. Also, conferences with the Phys Ed team, Art, Construction and Band Teachers can be booked by selecting those teachers from the dropdown menu in the booking site.  The booking system will open at 8am on Monday, November 27 and will be accessible through MyCBE.   

Scholastic Book Fair – December 1 - 13    

Our Scholastic Book Fair arrives this week! Students will begin to preview the Scholastic books and merchandise as we head into parent/teacher conferences. There will be a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reader, as well as some great gift-giving ideas! This is also an important fundraising event to bring new resources into our School! Please stop by the Book Fair during Parent/Teacher conferences.

Annual Winter Activity Day  

We’ve had an amazing success getting students signed up, thanks for being so organized CNG!  There are still spots available, so please sign up as soon as possible.  Students should have received a form to be signed once they chose their trip, please encourage them to bring those back to PE. 

We need your help! These trips take lots of supervision, so please have your child come pick up a volunteer form if you’d like to come along. Not sure if you’re a cleared volunteer at CNG? Call the main office and they can help you! 

Band Trip to North Trail High School – Volunteer Needed 

On December 13, the grade 9 Band will be taking a trip to North Trail High School for an afternoon of workshops and rehearsals, with a collaborative concert with North Trail, Nose Creek, and Valley Creek at 7:00pm. This will be a walking trip to North Trail in the early afternoon of December 13 (leaving school at 12:30pm) so if you are interested and willing to be a volunteer for this activity, please contact Ms. Ahenda at krahenda@cbe.ab.ca
